Fitting together

On a loom, there are two fundamental elements: the warp and the weft.

Warp threads are held tight while weft threads are woven across — through the warp — to create pattern and texture.

Rigid and fluid. Taut and loose. Firm and flexible.

To weave fabric, both elements must work together.
